AQUITAINE (Status 3)
The daughter of a minor Norman nobleman, Taine fell in love with and ran off
with the goldsmith who was supposed to be making jewelery for her upcoming
wedding in the year 1200. This goldsmith turned out to be the Toreador Sir
Thomas. He Embraced her and took her home with him to Leeds where his sire,
Lady Cynuise, was more than a little put out that he hadn't asked permission
before Embracing her. It didn't help that Taine had a typical Norman's
contempt for Saxons and made no attempt to hide it, or that she soon had most
of the male members of her branch of the clan wrapped around her fingers. In
the years since, Aquitaine has learned to serve her lady with loyalty and
respect. When Lady Cynuise was promoted to the position of Baroness, she
appointed Aquitaine to the position of Chamberlain, a position that Taine takes
very seriously and works at dutifully. Beautiful and aristocratic with an
enchanting singing voice and a true Toreador's sense of aesthetics, Aquitaine
is usually friendly and kind to other vampires although she can be snobbish
toward those who are obviously of peasant stock and she will sacrifice anything
or anyone else to interests of her family. Is she too naive to survive the
political intrigue of the vampire court?
