Heaven’s Gate is the next Saskatoon By Night Live Action Role Playing (LARP) Chronicle. The game will take place once a month in Saskatoon. The game will likely start in January or February and should run between 6 months to a year.
The Chronicle revolves around several groups of spies who are in Toronto. They are generally tasked with keeping watch over Heaven’s Gate.
The spies are made up of Contractors, Dolls and normal humans.
More information about the background and the character types is partially available on the Chronicle Background page. We will be adding more information coming up as time permits prior to the chronicle starting.
We are currently deciding on what rules set to use.

If you are interested in playing please do not hesitate to send an email to John. A chronicle discussion and character creation session will be set up soon for December. If there is a large enough interest in the chronicle John will be looking for someone to help him run the game which includes the running of side scenes and managing all the paperwork.
For those of you who have seen the anime DARKER THAN BLACK you will probably recognize a lot of the basis for the chronicle. I do not see this chronicle as being a chance to recreate the tv series nor do I want anyone trying to play one of the characters. I mostly just find the setting intriguing and I like the idea of people with powers who have to pay out a contract each time they use their abilities. I will not be following the plot of either of the season nor will I be using the manga for the overall story. I am also down playing the rational thinking aspect of the show. I personally do like the idea of a game based off of completely rational characters but I do see the limitations of it and will not be enforcing or really encouraging all Contractors and Dolls to have no emotions.
