SASKATOON
MEMBERS
ASHLEY MATTHEWS (Acknowledged, Influential, Praised)
The Childe of Nathan Cross, Ashley is one of the movers and shakers of the city. In addition to his own vast holdings, he manages all resources and finances for his reclusive Sire, giving him direct access to an enormous range of influence over the mortal world. As Whip of the Clan, he spends more time on the Primogen Council than his Sire does. As a result, Ashley is always busy, taking phone calls during Elysia and visiting mortals across the city night after night. The combination of his youth and great power has not gone unnoticed, however; his rivals and enemies are numerous and his allies are few. Luckily, he can usually count on his Clan for support, out of fear of Cross, if nothing else. Ashley is a curly-haired man with glasses, always well-dressed and never goes anywhere without his cellphone.
JAN RAMONE (Acknowledged, Feared, Influential, Loyal, Revered)
The younger broodmate of Major Holdt, Jan has always played second fiddle to his fellow Ventrue in the city. Overshadowed not only by Nathan Cross and his own broodmate Ivan, he has also had to take a back-seat to Ashley, something he has never been especially happy about. Known for his extensive control of the Greek Mafia in Saskatoon, Ramone is the only non-Setite with appreciable Underworld power. His relationship with the Setites is maintained rather carefully, as a result. Given permission to sire Progeny in the mid 90's, Jan embraced a young businessman, Sullivan. Things didn't work out, however; Sully went over to the Anarchs as soon as he was released, and has been an embarrassment to Jan ever since. Jan is a large, burly man with red hair and a beard, always well dressed and adorned with a number of rings.
JOHN X SMITH (Acknowledged, Cherished, Esteemed, Influential, Respected)
A recent addition to the Saskatoon Ventrue, Mr. Smith follows on the heels of the mass exodus of Kindred from Boston moving West in the wake of the Giovanni take-over of that city. No one is overly certain of his reasons for settling in Saskatoon, but many speculations have been brewing since his arrival. A giant in the financial world, Mr. Smith is rumoured to have his fingers in many pies, from computer technologies to banking to pharmaceuticals and genetics. A tall dark man with a slight Bostonian accent, Smith is truly a new-world Ventrue, always immaculately dressed in modern business suits with stylish accessories.

IN
MEMORIAM
NATHAN CROSS (Destroyed)
The Primogen of Clan Ventrue, Nathan Cross has been in power since the death of his predecessor, Peter McCaskill, in the early 80's. Before that time, he served as Keeper of Elysium ever since the very first Elysium of Saskatoon, just after Prince Wright declared Praxis in 1915. As one of the oldest Ventrue in the region, Cross is both feared and respected, although in the past few years, he seems to have become increasingly unstable. Nathan has become more and more withdrawn from the day to day happenings of the Domain, while his Childe Ashley fills in for him on the Primogen Council and in his business dealings. A tall man with a powerful presence, Nathan's great power and age command respect, although his habit of occasionally arriving at Elysia in dressing gowns or blood-spattered goggles leads to whispers behind his back that it can only be a matter of time before he snaps once and for all. Diablerized by his first Childe and one true love, Constance, in August of 2003.
MAJOR IVAN HOLDT (Dead)
The Childe of Peter McCaskill, and longtime Keeper of Elysium. He served in Korea in life, where he lost his left arm, a handicap which he thought nothing of. He was destroyed by the Anarch, Malcolm "Sugah" Jones, in December of 2001. His long-standing rivalry with the Anarchs regarding the decorum of Elysium was cited as the cause, but Malcolm was found out and put to death for his breach of the Sixth Tradition. Holdt was known for his fierce temper and his rigid sense of discipline. His Clan mourns him, and his stabilizing influence on the Domain will be missed.
THOMAS CRANEFIELD (Moved On)
The Great-Grandchilde of Alexander Westhaven, Prince of Regina. He came to Saskatoon in order to aid Jan Ramone (himself a Grandchilde of Westhaven's) in some sort of secret Ventrue project. Thomas did not seem to get along very well with Ashley, however, and has since left the domain, being replaced in his duties by Matthew Mansfield, yet another member of the Regina Ventrue Brood. The specifics behind the transfer aren't particularly clear, and the Ventrue aren't saying. Somewhat scruffy-looking for a Ventrue, Thomas was known for his penchant for making deals with the Setites and for wearing pin-striped suits.
SULLIVAN "SULLY" MACKINLEY (Missing)
Sullivan, or Sully as he was known to pretty much everyone, lived in Saskatoon for his entire life and unlife. He was also a staunch member of the local Anarch movement, a position that made him the black sheep of the Clan. Sully had been forced to be the Anarch's spokesman, until the more recent arrival of Gideon of clan Brujah. He had been speaking out against the persecution of the Anarchs by the Sheriff and Primogen Council, until his recent disappearance, which may or may not be connected to that self-same persecution. He was also the Childe of Jan Ramone, something his Sire would probably rather was forgotten.
PETER MCCASKILL (Dead)
The childe of Prince Alexander Westhaven of Regina, and the Sire of both Major Holdt and Jan Ramone. Was the Primogen of Clan Ventrue since the founding of the Primogen Council. It was he who convinced Prince Jonathan to champion his Childe Ivan for the position of Keeper. He was destroyed in the Summer of 1983, during a trip to British Columbia. The shipment he was traveling with was said to have been set upon by Werewolves, but many suspect otherwise. With his demise, his Clanmate, Nathan Cross, was forced to take on the Primogeniture of Clan Ventrue.
